What’s your biggest fear; something so paralyzing that it gives you shivers just thinking about it? Just two years ago, I was so desperately afraid of marine life that the sight of a minnow sent me in the opposite direction. I loved to swim and I spent my entire life in the water, but I could never even think about what lurked below. I was curious but too afraid. Today was a monuments day for attacking my fears head-on. I walked with 22 sharks, 20 feet under water with Sea Trek at Atlantis, Bahamas and a state-of-the-art clear-glass helmet and I will never look at my fears the same way again.
This is awesome but I’m confused! If your whole body below the neck is exposed how is it safe? Are the sharks sedated?
Well, for me it’s horses. I am very scared of horses.
They are awake and swimming very close to you while you’re in the tank. They are reef sharks and don’t “normally” attack humans. They had very little interest in me. Most sharks don’t purposely attack humans. 🙂
Great pics of you in the shark tank! Wow I don’t think I could be that brave! What a cool experience!! Hugz Lisa and Bear
It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I’m still in shock that I was able to do it. Regardless of they are “man-eating” sharks or not, it was one of my biggest fears, yet I was able to overcome it and control my panic.
What’s your biggest fear?
This is amazing!! I’m going to have to book mark this. My own list also includes swimming with sharks. My family thinks i’m flat out nuts and debates an intervention whenever i bring it up. This could be a good “happy medium.”
