Flying from LAX to Nadi, Fiji is well worth the overnight flight and Air Pacific actually offers a lot in the way of comfort. With plush reclining seats, a foot rest, a personal television, a blanket, and a pillow, they are one of the better overnight flights. I still dreaded the countless hours that awaited and wondered if an overnight flight could actually be comfortable. I researched all of the possible travel pillows and found Travel Rest to be the best option.
Its compact design stowed easily in my suitcase on the flight to Fiji and when I was returning with less room after buying a few things it clipped to the handle of my suitcase. It was easy to inflate and it gave me comfort knowing that I was resting my head on my own pillow rather than one used by others.
Its patented ergonomic shape nestled against my head and neck to provide support and comfort. I just attached it to the seat back and the seat belt and it held my head securely in place. Rather than doing the infamous “head-bob” on the plane, I was able to sleep for 7 hours! That was a first on any overnight flight. I was impressed!
It was perfect for the endless travel while in the country as well. Even without a seat back, I used the pillow for support. I just slung the tether cord over my head and shoulder to relax. I used it during long drives, flights, or just waiting in airports.
One day after whitewater rafting our bus ride back to the resort was over an hour. We were all exhausted but no one could sleep because of the bumpy, narrow roads. I opened up my Travel Rest pillow and rested my head. Before I knew it, we were back at the resort. I had slept the entire ride. Everyone else suffered out the drive and they were ready for a nap when we got back. While they were napping during the best part of the day, I went for a swim.
Thanks Travel Rest; because of you I was able to sleep during the boring flights and down times and enjoy every precious moment in Fiji!
Definitely going on my wish list! I have never enjoyed those U shaped travel pillows. Question: Did you also have the optional cover or use it as-is?
I didn’t have the cover so I’m not sure it’s necessary. 🙂
